            Larry A. Jansen is an accomplished trial attorney with extensive experience in civil litigation. He has been in practice since 1980 and has tried in excess of 20 bench and jury trials of cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, public entity defense, interstate trucking, professional liability, construction defect and business litigation.

            He also has significant experience defending large, complex litigation including construction defect cases representing owners, design professionals, developers, general contractors, subcontractors and their insurance carriers.

            Mr. Jansen recently reached a favorable settlement in a multi-million dollar case arising from a trucking accident wherein two of the four plaintiffs sustained significant permanent injuries including brain damage. In his last jury trial, Mr. Jansen obtained a defense verdict in a case against San Diego Gas and Electric and its consultants involving damages to timber and trespass upon real property

            Mr. Jansen operated his own successful law practice for 9 years. He most recently was the Chief Trial Attorney for the San Diego Staff Legal Office of Zurich North America prior to joining the McMahon Law Firm, Inc. in October 2008. He was awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

            Mr. Jansen received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1979 from Southwestern University School of Law and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in 1976. He is a member of the California State Bar, San Diego County Bar Association, San Diego Defense Lawyers Association, is on the Board of Directors for the William L. Todd, Jr. Inn of Court and is a Judge Pro Tem for the San Diego County Superior Court.
