            Mr. Vu grew up in San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University in 2005. He entered California Western School of Law in 2007 and graduated cum laude in 2009. Mr. Vu made Dean�s List multiple semesters and received the Academic Achievement Award for the highest class grade in both Property II and International Legal Research. He was a distinguished board member of the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal and served as the executive notes and comments editor. In addition, he tutored Legal Skills I and three other classes, and was a research assistant to Professor Susan A. Channick.


            Mr. Vu participated in many extracurricular activities during law school. He was the president of California Western�s Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and he participated in many diversity programs. He was one of the school�s representatives at the A.B.A Judicial Clerkship Program and he published an article in the A.B.A. Minority Trial Lawyer. He is currently a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego North County Bar Association, and the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego.


            During law school, Mr. Vu externed for Judge Teri Jackson and Judge Charles Haines of the San Francisco Superior Court. He also volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego where he focused on consumer law. After Mr. Vu took the California Bar exam in July 2009, he worked for Winet, Patrick & Weaver where he focused on insurance defense, education litigation, and construction defect. Mr. Vu was admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court, Southern District of California in 2009.
